Manpreet’s kin complain against MLA

Bathinda, January 13

The brother-in-law of Manpreet Badal, Congress candidate from Bathinda (urban), today lodged a complaint with the district returning officer accusing SAD MLA Sarup Chand Singla of falsely implicating him in an incident of threatening someone at gunpoint.

Jaijeet Singh Johal (Jojo) of Chandigarh, has alleged that Singla, in a press conference, accused him of threatening the president of Arthiya Association Satish Kumar Babbu at gunpoint to pressure him to join the Congress, which was not true. Singla, meanwhile, said he stood by his statement. — TNS
