Leader of Opposition and AAP MLA HS Phoolka today said declaration of the CM face by the party would have certainly improved its prospects in the state Assembly elections.

Agreeing to some issues raised by Bhagwant Mann, Phoolka said: "Gauging the mood of the people, the Congress high command declared Capt Amarinder Singh as its CM candidate shortly before the elections which helped the party," said Phoolka, adding that AAP failed to do so.

On Mann's allegation of picking wrong candidates on certain seats, Phoolka said he was not a member of the committee that allocated tickets. "But those who were members of these committees should have spoken on the issue at the right time," he said. "Whenever I found that something wrong is being done in the party, I raised my voice at party platforms repeatedly and did not mince words in this regard even if I had to suffer a lot," said Phoolka. "My photos were not printed on any party hoarding for long time as I spoke against certain decisions," he said.
