PM Modi to address rallies on Jan 27, 29

CHANDIGARH: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two rallies (January 27 and 29) in the run-up to the Assembly elections. Vineet Joshi, BJP state secretary, said in a press release here today that the January 27 rally would be held in Jalandhar and the other one in Ludhiana.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address two rallies (January 27 and 29) in the run-up to the Assembly elections.

Vineet Joshi, BJP state secretary, said in a press release here today that the January 27 rally would be held in Jalandhar and the other one in Ludhiana.

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and BJP national general secretary Ram Lal will conduct a three-day tour of various constituencies from January 20. Jaitley will first address a rally at Sujanpur, followed by public meetings in Pathankot and Bhoa.

Om January 21, he will address a rally at Dinanagar in the morning and subsequently hold public meetings in constituencies of Amritsar. On January 22, Jaitley will attend a rally for party candidates from Jalandhar (Central, North and West) constituencies in the morning. In the afternoon, he is expected to visit three constituencies of Ludhiana (Central, North and West) along with Ram Lal.

Union Minister Narendra Tomar and incharge of the Punjab election committee Avinash Rai Khanna will hold a three-day trip. On January 20, they will visit Rajpura and Phagwara. The next day, they will travel to Hoshiarpur, Mukerian and Anandpur Sahib. The duo will visit Khanna, Ferozepur and Fazilka on January 22.
