Songs, videos to encourage voters

LUDHIANA: To encourage fair voting and maximum participation in the Vidhan Sabha elections, the district administration has prepared a few songs and video clips.

Ludhiana, January 14

To encourage fair voting and maximum participation in the Vidhan Sabha elections, the district administration has prepared a few songs and video clips. These songs and clips were released by Deputy Commissioner-cum-district election officer Ravi Bhagat here today.

Bhagat said seven video clips and songs had been prepared which would encourage voters to use their vote in a fair manner.

One song each of Dr Charan Kamal Singh, director of Ishmeet Academy, computer teacher Gurpreet Singh, a video clip by Gauravdeep Singh from an organisation, Initiators of Change, two songs by Dr Kewal from the Animal Husbandry Department and two video clips prepared by Additional Commissioner, Ludhiana Municipal Corporation, Surabhi Malik have been selected by the administration.

“These video clips will be uploaded on the district administration’s Facebook page, AhatsApp, YouTube and Twitter. These clips will also be played in cinema halls during the intermission,” said Bhagat.

In one of the clippings, Diljit Dosajh, Punjabi singer and actor, is appealing to the city residents to cast their vote in the elections.
