The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) of Bahadur Singh Wala confiscated 100 boxes of smuggled liquor last night. One person has been arrested.
On a tip-off, a CIA police party — led by ASI Randhir Ram – set up a check point on Samana road on the outskirts of Bhawanigarh and seized the liquor that was being smuggled in a tractor trolley from Samana to Bhawanigarh.
“We have arrested Balwinder Singh. His accomplice Vicky managed to escape and we are conducting raids to nab him,” said ASI Randhir Ram.
