2 criminals nabbed

Two hardcore criminals identified as Karan Arora, alias Johnny, and Judge Singh were nabbed by the Ferozepur police late evening.

SSP Bhupinder Singh Sidhu said the police had received a tip-off on the movement of these two criminals who were going towards Harike from the Makhu area in their car. Acting swiftly, the police arrested these gangsters near the Harike bridge. The police also recovered a .12-bore gun from their possession.

The SSP said several cases of murder, attempt to murder, extortion and smuggling had been lodged against these two criminals at various police stations.

Sources said these gangsters mainly operated in the Malwa region. “Tomorrow they will be produced in the court to seek police remand,” said the SSP.
