2 farmers faint, others brave rain as their protest enters day 2

PATIALA: Braving the rain, farmers continued to protest at the dharna site at Mehmadpur village on the Patiala-Sangrur road here for the second consecutive day on Saturday.

Patiala, September 23

Braving the rain, farmers continued to protest at the dharna site at Mehmadpur village on the Patiala-Sangrur road here for the second consecutive day on Saturday.                        

One Mukhtiar Singh, 57, from Mansa fainted at the dharna site. As the first aid was not available, he was taken to Rajindra Hospital. Later, he was shifted to the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, PGI, and was diagnosed with hemiplegia with brain haemorrhage.

Another farmer of Khiala village, Charna Singh, had an epileptic fit and was rushed to Rajindra Hospital here.
