The SAD has expressed anguish over Niti Ayog’s snub to the state government for demanding funds. Anandpur Sahib MP and party spokesman Prem Singh Chandumajra said the words used by Ayog vice-chairman Rajiv Kumar was an insult to the state. He, however, blamed the Congress saying “it is reaping what was sown by it”. He said to malign the SAD-BJP, the Congress had termed the Rs 31,000-crore funds lying with the Centre against the difference between actual costs incurred in procurement and costs reimbursable as per the provisional costs as a scam. “It has lost the right to demand this money. It is time that all parties should rise above petty politics to plead the case with the Centre together. We are ready, but the Congress should apologise on its stand on Rs 31,000-crore controversy,” he added.
