Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh today said no Station House Officer (SHO) or senior police officer would be transferred on the Akalis’ demand.

Commenting on former SAD minister Bikram Singh Majithia’s meeting with the DGP to seek the transfer of seven Gurdaspur SHOs, the CM said with the maximum complaints of false cases reported from his constituency (Majitha), Majithia was apprehensive of being exposed once the commission probing false cases came out with its findings.

“Majithia is welcome to meet the DGP, but there is no question of transferring any SHO just because he wants it,” the Chief Minister added. He called the move a “crude attempt” at diverting the government’s attention from Majithia’s involvement in registering false cases.
