Capt to meet Rahul over Cabinet reshuffle

New Delhi, April 18

The long-pending reshuffle of the state Cabinet will come up for final discussions at a meeting scheduled to be held between Chief Minister Amarinder Singh and Congress president Rahul Gandhi here on Thursday.

Also present at the meeting will be Punjab state in charge Asha Kumari and state Congress chief Sunil Jakhar. The Cabinet reshuffle has been delayed for a long time and was earlier said to be slated after the Ludhiana Municipal Corporation elections.

It is also learnt that Gandhi and the CM will include younger ministers in the Cabinet to lower its average age.

The CM is also scheduled to meet Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Union Minister for Agriculture Radha Mohan Singh to take up state-specific issues. The CM is expected to call on PM Narendra Modi also once the latter returns from his overseas visits . — TNS
