Badal said: “We do not get disturbed by people showing flags. We are fighting to save Punjab from ‘vinash’.”

Meanwhile, SAD workers allegedly beat up those who showed black flags to Badal, while the police remained "a mute spectator".

The injured have called a meeting in a local gurdwara.

United Akali Dal (UAD) president Mohkam Singh demanded action against the SAD workers who beat up those who showed black flags to Badal at the rally.

He said that they would approach the EC.
