Channi: Bigger RTS panel burden on exchequer

Chandigarh: Punjab Congress Legislature Party leader Charanjit Singh Channi has questioned the appointments of seven more commissioners in the Right to Service (RTS) Commission.



Chandigarh: Punjab Congress Legislature Party leader Charanjit Singh Channi has questioned the appointments of seven more commissioners in the Right to Service (RTS) Commission. Terming it a financial burden on the exchequer, Channi said information received under the RTI Act by party's RTI cell incharge Dr Jasdeepak Singh revealed ever since this commission was constituted in 2012-13, it had received 29,019 complaints, of which 28,978 were disposed of. Then there were 666 complaints not under the RTS Act, all of which were taken care of. These complaints were till September 6. TNS
