The body of Hanuman Prasad (60), a farm worker, was found in a watercourse at Jhurarkhera village in Abohar area on Monday. His brother Rampal told the police that Hanuman had left his house on Sunday night. In Kanwali village in Sriganganagar, the body of labourer Subhash Chander (42) was found in the Keharwala sub-canal on Monday. He went missing on February 3. OC

Labourer murdered

The Tanda police have recovered a migrant labourer’s body from the sugarcane fields near Model Town. The body had marks of sharp-edged weapons on the head and was identified. The deceased was identified as Maghu Kharia of Gumla, Jharkhand. OC

Release PES cadre list: Lecturers 

Members of the Punjab School Lecturers’ Association held a meeting at Malout town on Monday and appealed to the Election Commission and the state government to release the list of PES cadre soon.
