About 20 youths owing allegiance to the SAD raised slogans against party’s organising secretary and Bathinda district coordinator Tejinder Singh Middukhera in the presence of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal at Sikhwala village here today.

The CM abruptly ended his speech as the protesters walked out of the 'pandal', boycotting the election meeting. Satinderjit Singh 'Manta', OSD to Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal, assured the youths that they would be given time to meet the CM. Later, the CM left for the next village.

Maninder Singh, a protester, said, "We are against Middukhera who had favoured the sarpanch who clashed with locals in November last year.” Middukhera said, "This is dispute between the residents of Kakhanwali and Sikhwala villages. I have no enmity with anyone. If some SAD activists are annoyed, the party will pacify them."
