Chandigarh, May 30

Punjab Congress chief Capt Amarinder Singh today said that the party cadre would go all out against the SAD-BJP government over the next seven months as the Assembly elections were likely to be held in December.

Accompanying Ambika Soni, who was at the Punjab Vidhan Sabha to file her nomination for the Rajya Sabha, Amarinder claimed that the Congress graph was going up, even as the Akalis were on a weak ground and the Aam Aadmi Party’s popularity was going down.

After filing her nomination, Soni said all party leaders would work unitedly to bring the Congress back to power. Barring PPCC chief spokesman Sunil Jakhar, most of the state leaders were present on the occasion.

Amarinder said Jakhar, whose had been among the contenders for a Rajya Sabha nomination, was likely to be adjusted in the party organisational structure in Delhi. He denied that expelled leader Bir Devinder Singh was being taken back into the party. — TNS
