The state BJP today termed the eighth month of Capt Amarinder Singh government “full of betrayal and disappointment like the earlier months”.

Vice-president Harjit Singh Grewal and secretary Vineet Joshi, while releasing the “report card” of eight months of the Congress government, said: “Health, local bodies and education departments, in particular, remained a complete failure.”

They said: “The local bodies under Navjot Singh Sidhu failed to tackle the problem of dengue. Health Minister Brahm Mohindra too failed to ensure prior arrangements to tackle dengue.”

“The Education Department has not provided uniform to around 8 lakh middle and senior secondary students till date. The mid-day meal scheme remained crippled. Pre-primary classes have been started in government schools without any preparation,” they alleged

The leaders, meanwhile, congratulated the CM and the Punjab police for nabbing the persons responsible for the targeted killings.
