Barnala, May 29

Members and activists of the Youth Congress and Kisan-Mazdoor wing of the party today allegedly damaged a bus of Orbit Aviation at Kachehri Chowk here. They demanded an FIR against the owners of the company in connection with the Moga molestation incident.

The bus was going towards Hoshiarpur from Bathinda via Barnala when the incident took place. The protesters, holding party flags in their hands, raised slogans against the Orbit owners and the state government. They demanded cancellation of permits of all Orbit buses.

A minor scuffle also took place between the police and the activists when the police tried to disperse the protesters. During the scuffle, a window pane of the bus was damaged.

Kuldeep Singh, SHO of the local police station, said the police took three persons into its custody. They were let off after a compromise was reached between the protesters and the bus staff, he added.
