Congress promotes ‘pakora job scheme’

Congress workers hold ‘Pradhan Mantri Pakora Rozgaar Yojana’ and offer pakoras to BJP workers attending the rally.

Jalandhar: Congress workers offered pakoras to BJP supporters attending the saffron party’s ‘Bajao dhol, kholo pol’ rally here on Sunday. Led by Himanshu Pathak, the Congress activists set up a stall at the PAP Chowk to promote Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Pakora Rozgar Yojana”. They were taking a dig at Modi’s recent remark that pakora sellers should be counted among employed people. Initially, BJP workers thought that it was a refreshment stall set up by their own party and some even accepted the pakoras, only to realise soon that it was a “trap”. The Congress workers also distributed dummy cheques of “Rs 15 lakh” each, drawn from “Feku Bank”, among over 200 people, mocking the PM’s assurance to bring back black money. TNS
