Couple booked for Rs 1.1-cr land fraud

PHAGWARA: The Satnampura police on a complaint lodged by Shashipal Singh of Pandhwa village have registered a case under Sections 420 and 406 of the IPC against Jaswinder Singh and his wife Surinder Kaur, both residents of Mohali, on the charge of duping the victim of Rs 1,11,90,000 on the pretext of selling a plot in Mohali.

The Satnampura police on a complaint lodged by Shashipal Singh of Pandhwa village have registered a case under Sections 420 and 406 of the IPC against Jaswinder Singh and his wife Surinder Kaur, both residents of Mohali, on the charge of duping the victim of Rs 1,11,90,000 on the pretext of selling a plot in Mohali.

The police said despite repeated reminders the couple did not appeared before the Registrar, Revenue, Kharar. The couple is still at large.

Wine shop looted

Two unidentified motorcyclists struck at a wine shop in Dallewal village near Goraya and took away Rs 2,500 and a few bottles of whisky Monday night. They also beat up Sanjay Kumar, an employee of the shop. — OC
