Couple dies in road mishap in Moga

MOGA: A couple died while another received injuries when the car in which they were travelling turned turtle at Mahesari Sandhwan village in this district, police said today.



Moga, July 7

A couple died while another received injuries when the car in which they were travelling turned turtle at Mahesari Sandhwan village in this district, police said today.

The incident took place last evening when the car allegedly went out of control, they said.

The deceased have been identified as Jasmail Singh and his wife Jaswinder Kaur of Sandhuwala village of Ferozepur district, police added.

The injured are identified as Gurpreet Singh, working as Panchayat Secretary, and his wife Jaswant Kaur of Rataul village of Ferozpur district.

They have been hospitalised and their condition is stated to be serious, police said. All the four were on their way to attend a cremation ceremony, they said. —PTI
