Resham Singh USA, a resident of California, was released from Amritsar central jail after one-and-a-half months.
He was arrested at IG International Airport, Delhi, on November 4 when he had arrived there to take part in the ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ that was then scheduled at Talwandi Sabo on November 10. General secretary of SAD (Amritsar) Jarnail Singh Sakhira said that Resham had been booked for sedition during the earlier ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ in November 2015 at Chabba village. But he managed to fly back to California.
“On his arrest, Resham was handed over to Chattiwind police, Amritsar. We procured his bail from the High Court and got him out of jail on December 19,” he said. — TNS
