Two persons have been arrested in a murder case of a 37-year-old man.
The body was found a week earlier near Jaitu town in Faridkot district. The body bore many injury marks. The deceased was identified as Rajinder Kumar.
The police have arrested his wife and her paramour.
According to police investigation, Rajinder was killed by his wife Pooja Rani and her paramour Gurtej Singh as he had come to know about their illicit relations.
On July 15, the body of Rajinder was found on a link road near his native Matta village under Jaitu subdivision.
The police said as Rajinder objected to their relationship, Gurtej and Pooja hatched a plan to kill him.
On July 15, Gurtej and his friend Tirlok Singh waylaid Rajinder when he was returning home.
They killed him by using some sharp-edged weapons, said Laxman Singh, the investigating officer. The police have arrested all accused.
Pooja and Rajinder have two children, aged 12 and 11 years.
