Dalit youth poisoned to death

MOGA: A Dalit youth was allegedly poisoned to death by two persons at Jai Singh Wala village in Baghapurana subdivision of the district.



Moga, April 20

A Dalit youth was allegedly poisoned to death by two persons at Jai Singh Wala village in Baghapurana subdivision of the district.

The deceased has been identified as Luvpreet Singh (18) of Ghaniewala village in Faridkot district.

His father, Chamkaur Singh, said Iqbal Singh of Ghaniewala village and the latter’s accomplice Devinder Singh came to his house and took Luvpreet with them on a motorcycle to an undisclosed location.

They allegedly injected poison into his body with a syringe and left him on the banks of a canal on the outskirts of Jai Singh Wala village. A case has been registered against the duo. — TNS
