Terming the Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) claims of overall development in Delhi a farce, the DPCC chief Ajay Maken today said the they would be campaigning in the state to expose the AAP.

“AAP was a party of novices when it got elected. But after seeing its performance in the MC polls in Delhi, the party has lost in as many as eight wards, where it claimed to have set up mohalla clinics,” said Maken adding that people were fed up as the state of existing 900 clinics had gone from bad to worse.

Calling the AAP national convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal as “Chhota Modi”, the former Union Minister said that while PM Narendra Modi had spent Rs 600 crore on advertisements in two years, Kejriwal was not lagging behind. “He has spent a Rs 127 crore just for Delhi”, he remarked.

Though Maken was here to counter the NDA on the completion of its two year’s term in the Centre, he shared a video ‘Ab ki baar, barbaad ho gaye yaar”, which attacks the AAP.

He also took on the AAP’s claims of doubling the budget of education and health sectors. “Though the budget has been doubled but they had failed to spend as much. In education, an amount of Rs 1,078 crore has been spent while Rs 293 crore had lapsed in the health sector,” Maken revealed.

Meanwhile in Amritsar, Maken said that the people of Punjab should take a cue from the recently-held municipal byelections in Delhi before casting their vote in the upcoming Assembly elections in the state.

“Within 15 months of governance by AAP, Delhi people have rejected the party,” he said. He said the Congress was on a path of revival as its vote percentage had increased by 23 per cent while AAP had lost its vote percentage by 24 per cent in the recently held municipal byelections in 13 wards, out of which the Congress won four seats. The vote percentage of the BJP had also witnessed a decline, he said.

Maken was here to highlight the failure of the NDA government after the completion of its two years at the Centre. He alleged the Modi government had nothing to show, but advertisements.

He alleged the NDA government had failed in its foreign policy as far as Pakistan and China were concerned. Maken said the UPA maintained a pressure on Pakistan due to which the USA and Russia had never made any defence deal with Pakistan in the past. He was pointing towards the recent F-16 fighter jet deal between the US and Pakistan.
