District-level farmer training camps to commence from April 4

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab Agriculture Department has decided to commence district-level farmer training camps from April 4. The purpose of these camps is to disseminate technical inputs and other knowhow of cultivation of different crops.

The Punjab Agriculture Department has decided to commence district-level farmer training camps from April 4. The purpose of these camps is to disseminate technical inputs and other knowhow of cultivation of different crops.

Disclosing this, an official spokesperson of the department said that as part of these camps exhibitions would be organised at the grain markets at the district level. He said that to impart technical training to farmers various teams comprising experts from universities had been constituted.

Giving details of the camps, the spokesperson said that the camp at Mohali and Fazilka would be organised on April 4, at Gurdaspur, Bathinda, Ferozepur and Hoshiarpur on April 5, at Pathankot, Faridkot and Jalandhar on April 6, at Muktsar and Amritsar on April 7, at Sangrur, Ludhiana and Ropar on April 8, at Tarn Taran, Moga and Mansa on April 10, and the camp at Nawanshahr, Kapurthala, Fatehgarh Sahib, Barnala and Patiala would be organised on April 11.
