Amarpreet Kaur Sandhu, 31, wife of a farmer from Saiyan Wala village in Ferozepur district, today cleared the UPSC exam for the second time.
In the results declared today, she got 102 rank, while she had got 898 rank in the results declared in 2014. Buoyant Amarpreet Kaur gave the credit of her success to her in-laws, especially her husband, saying, “It’s all because of the support of my husband Deepinder and my in-laws, who gave me full support.”
She added: “It was my third attempt. In the first attempt, I could not clear the prelims. In the second attempt in 2013, I cleared the exam and presently a probationer in the Indian Railway Traffic Services (IRTS), Lucknow.”
She originally hails from Sriganganagar district in Rajasthan.
