Former SAD minister Sucha Singh Langah booked on rape charges

GURDASPUR: Sucha Singh Langah, a former SAD minister, was on Friday booked by the Gurdaspur police on charges of rape after a widow complained that he had repeatedly raped her since 2009.

Sucha Singh Langah, a former SAD minister, was on Friday booked by the Gurdaspur police on charges of rape after a widow complained that he had repeatedly raped her since 2009.    

A case under Sections 376 (rape), 384 (extortion), 420 (cheating) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC was registered against Langah at the Gurdaspur city police station.

According to the FIR, Langah was booked after the Deputy District Attorney gave his opinion and a senior officer had probed the allegations.

Langah is the president of the Gurdaspur district.unit of the SAD.

The woman, a government employee, has also attached a video with her complaint.
