Gang of bike thieves busted

FAZILKA: The Fazilka police claimed to have busted a gang of bike thieves by nabbing four persons and recovering 15 motorcycles and a scooter from their possession.

The Fazilka police claimed to have busted a gang of bike thieves by nabbing four persons and recovering 15 motorcycles and a scooter from their possession.

SP (Detective) Mukhtiar Singh said on a tip-off a police party led by Jalalabad DSP Amarjit Singh laid a barrier near Tahliwala Jattan village and intercepted two motorcycles occupied by three persons three days ago. When the documents were verified, the bikes were found to be stolen.

The accused were booked for theft. They were produced before the Judicial Magistrate, who sent them to two-day police custody. — OC
