The election authorities today issued a show-cause notice to Jarnail Singh, AAP candidate from Lambi, for allegedly violating the model code of conduct yesterday.
Anmol Singh Dhaliwal, District Transport Officer and Returning Officer (RO), Lambi, said, “A notice has been issued to the AAP candidate for exceeding the permissible limit of 10 vehicles (during a roadshow).”
He added that earlier a notice was served on the candidate for holding an election meeting without prior intimation. “The expenses of that programme have been included in the candidate’s expenditure register now,” he said.
Meanwhile, Anand Sagar Sharma, the Gidderbaha RO, said he issued two notices regarding alleged paid news to Congress candidate Amrinder Singh Raja Warring.
