New Delhi, February 21
The Panthic Seva Dal, a new party in the fray in the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) elections, today released its manifesto. The party accused the Shiromani Akali Dal (Delhi) and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) of being hand in glove.
Seva Dal secretary general Kartar Singh Kochar said the SAD (Badal) and SAD (Delhi) were both involved in corruption. He said the Manjit Singh GK-led body had failed to take action against the Sarna brothers in the past four years.
In 2009, Kochar was with the Sarnas’ SAD (Delhi) and held the post of DSGMC joint secretary. He had left the party and the gurdwara committee after he raised an objection to the hefty fine charged from the students of DSGMC-run Guru Harkrishan Public School.
He also alleged a Rs 1.54-crore scam in the Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Information Technology.
