Bathinda: Former MP Gurdas Badal, younger brother of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and father of Congress leader Manpreet Badal, on Monday claimed that he would not campaign for Capt Amarinder Singh in the Lambi Assembly segment against his elder brother Parkash Singh Badal, but he made it clear that he would vote for the Congress. Gurdas said he would not campaign in Lambi, but he would do so in Bathinda for Manpreet Badal. He made it clear that he would vote for the Congress against Parkash Singh Badal. Replying to query on Badal-Capt contest in Lambi, he said it would be tough and exciting as people of the Lambi area wanted a change. He, however, remained tight-lipped on the issue of sacrilege incidents across the state. While Gurdas has claimed that he will not be able to campaign for Amarinder due to medical reasons, he can be seen attending election meetings for his son quite often. TNS
