Chandigarh, August 1
Lieutenant General KJ Singh, General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, felicitated Darshan Kumar, gateman, special carts, Indian Railways, and Satpal (both residents of Dinanagar) at a ceremony in Tiger Division on Saturday.
Satpal was awarded the Army Commander’s Commendation Card also. On July 27, the day militants struck Dinanagar near Gurudaspur, the vigilant duo had detected five improvised explosive devices (IEDs) on the railway track and informed the authorities.
