Judicial remand of Raju extended

AMRITSAR: A local court today extended the judicial remand of three suspects in the cable operator’s suicide case by 14-days.

Amritsar, April 18

A local court today extended the judicial remand of three suspects in the cable operator’s suicide case by 14-days. Now, May 2 has been fixed as the next date of hearing.

Cable operator Jaswinder Singh Jassi had committed suicide in front of the judges of the Supreme Court and Punjab and Haryana High Court on March 28. They were here to attend a programme of Telecom Dispute Settlement Appellate Tribunal.

In the suicide note, he had accused Sarabjit Singh Raju, local in charge, Fastway Cable, Pritpal Singh Lalli, husband of a SAD councillor, and Gurdeep Singh, MD, Fastway Cable, of harassing him, which forced him to take the extreme step.
