Leader of Opposition Sukhpal Khaira on Thursday demanded a three-day special Assembly session to discuss agrarian crisis.
He urged the state government to stop the recovery of loans for one year from all farmers who have less than five acres of land and pay their interest.
He also said former chief minister Parkash Singh Badal and Sukhbir Badal should apologise at the Akal Takht for allegedly registering “hundreds of false cases against their opponents”.
Khaira said big political powers were hatching conspiracy against AAP leader and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to stop the emergence of the third political power.
Khaira also demanded resignation of Chief Minister Capt Amrinder Singh for his alleged failure to take effective steps to stop farmer suicides in Punjab.
