Tracking mobile call locations, a police team from Hanumangarh today arrested a woman and her paramour for killing her husband at Shergarh village, about 21 km from here.
Initial reports indicated that the victim, Kalu (25), had shifted in the first week of September last year along with his wife Pooja (21) and neighbourer Sandeep, alias Gurpreet Singh (23), at a rented house of the latter’s father at Chak 2KM village. For the past few days, Vidya Devi, Kalu’s mother, was not able to contact him on phone.
The police arrested Gurpreet Singh a day after the FIR was lodged. He reportedly disclosed that he had developed relations with Pooja and on his advice, the couple agreed to shift to his village. There his father, too, allegedly developed relations with Pooja. The trio decided to eliminate Kalu. They strangled him using a piece of cloth and dumped his body at a farmhouse.
