Man, son held with heroin

TARN TARAN: The 87th Battalion of the BSF nabbed a father-son duo of Narli village with 3.6 kg of heroin which they had brought from across the fence this noon.

The 87th Battalion of the BSF nabbed a father-son duo of Narli village with 3.6 kg of heroin which they had brought from across the fence this noon.

RS Katari, DIG, Border Security Force (BSF), said the accused had been identified as Nirmal Singh and his son Gurjit Singh. The DIG added that the duo had gone to work in their fields across the fence today.

While returning, the accused carried a water camphor of which the BSF personnel got suspicious. The walls of the camphor were filed with the heroin worth Rs 17.7 crore in the international market.
