Man’s body found in canal

Abohar: The body of a man, who went missing on August 17, was found in a canal here on Friday. Naresh of Ramdev Nagar said his brother Gauri Shanker Goldy (35) was upset after the divorce proceedings with his wife completed recently. He had left home without talking to anyone in the family. OC

Two kids drown in reservoir

Abohar: Two boys drowned in a reservoir in a field here on Saturday. Sources said farmer Gurdev Singh’s son Harmandeep Singh (14) had gone to his farm with friend Mohit Kumar (13), son of Gopi Ram. The two apparently slipped into a reservoir in an adjoining field. The bodies were later found by a passerby. oc
