Based on eyewitness account, the police released the sketches of two suspects of the Maur bomb blast case today.
The duo are believed to be behind the car bomb blast on the night of January 31.
Both the suspects are young and aged between 25-35 years with one sporting a turban with his face covered with a shawl while other has cropped hair.
SSP Naveen Singla said they have released two sketches that have been prepared with the help of eye witnesses present on the spot. The same have been circulated to all SSP’s in the zone and SHOs in the districts.
As many as seven people were killed and 12 were injured in the blast outside the Congress rally venue near the vehicle of party candidate from Maur, Harmander Singh Jassi. He is a relative of the controversial Sirsa-based dera chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh and escaped with minor bruises in the incident.
The police is groping in the dark in the case even after three months of the blast.
Owing to intense pressure the police arrested many suspects in the case but have still failed to reach any conclusion so far.
Various intelligence agencies too have been probing the incident but there is no breakthrough.
