Muktsar, March 10

Ahead of the Assembly election results, contestants spent the day seeking blessings from the Almighty.

Congress Malout candidate Ajaib Singh Bhatti and SAD Gidderbaha candidate Hardeep Singh Dimpy Dhillon took part in bhog ceremonies of “akhand path” organised by them at Thehri and Chhateana villages, respectively.

Congress Gidderbaha candidate Amrinder Singh Raja Warring’s in-laws had held a path of Sukhmani Sahib at their residence in Muktsar to pray for his victory. “I will leave for Amritsar late in the evening to pay obeisance at the Golden Temple. I had also performed a religious ceremony at my residence a few days ago,” said Warring, while speaking over the phone.

Similarly, AAP Muktsar candidate Jagdeep Singh Kaka Brar paid obeisance at the Golden Temple today. AAP Lambi nominee Jarnail Singh too paid obeisance at a gurdwara in Delhi before leaving for Lambi today.

SAD president Sukhbir Singh Badal went to Delhi, where the family had reportedly held a private ceremony at their residence.

Further, SAD Muktsar nominee Kanwarjit Singh Rozy Barkandi along with his aides recently went to Hazoor Sahib, Shirdi Saibaba temple and Salasar Dham to seek blessings.
