Acting on a tip-off that suspects who killed pastor Sultan Masih outside ‘Temple of God’ church last Saturday might be hiding in villages, Ludhiana police on Saturday launched a massive search operation.
Police force led by a company of IRB and PAP personnel started a door-to-door search operation in villages in the Meharban, Jodhewal, Salem Tabri, Mattehwara areas.

Sources said 87 villages were earmarked by the police where door-to-door search is being carried out.
Till evening, police conducted search in 10 villages but they have not found any suspects during the drive.
Sources said police had got a tip-off that the suspects had moved into these villages and police are trying to zero in on their location.
