Muktsar, January 1
Former MP and state TMC president Jagmeet Singh Brar here today opened the party’s office in his home district. He said the party would wait till January 4 for forging an alliance with AAP.
He claimed that talks regarding a tie-up were in the last phase and the TMC had demanded 10 per cent seats from AAP.
“If the talks fail, we will announce five candidates on January 5. Other candidates will be announced later,” said Brar.
Brushing aside the allegations that he was poaching AAP leaders, he said, “We have common goals and a common mission for Punjab, so if they repose faith in TMC, who am I to close doors for them.”
