Complaint to EC on land notification

Chandigarh: The Aam Aadmi Party on Wednesday submitted a complaint to the EC to review and stay further action on the notification issued by the state government to allegedly give benefit to a resort owned by the Badals. An AAP delegation led by advocate Dinesh Chaddha stated that on the eve of the imposition of the model code of conduct, the state Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a notification to acquire more than 100 acres for the construction of a 200-ft-wide road in New Chandigarh.
