Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia today said AAP party supremo and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal would soon land in jail for his “disparaging and defamatory” statements against senior statesmen.
Referring to a Delhi High Court order which declined stay on criminal defamation proceedings against Kejriwal preferred by Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitely, Majithia said now the AAP leader stood exposed for using delaying tactics. He said Kejriwal would now be immediately held accountable for all his malicious and mischievous statements solely aimed to injure the reputation of his political opponents.
Jailtely had slapped civil and criminal defamation cases against Kejriwal, Kumar Vishwas, Ashutosh, Sanjay Singh, Raghav Chadha and Deepak Vajpayee for unwarranted attack as counterblast to the CBI search of a bureaucrat close to AAP. The Delhi High court has ordained that both civil and criminal cases would proceed simultaneously in the courts concerned.
