The Youth Congress today organised a state-level rally in Jalalabad, the constituency of Deputy CM Sukhbir Singh Badal. The rally was led by Indian Youth Congress president Amrinder Singh Raja Warring.

Addressing the gathering, Warring held Sukhbir responsible for the Nabha jail break. He expressed apprehension that the incident might also be stage-managed so that the Badals could use the criminal elements in the elections. He said Sukhbir had lost control over the administration as the criminals dressed in police uniform managed to get their accomplices freed in broad daylight. “This is a grave lapse on the part of the government for which Sukhbir should own the responsibility and resign,” Waring said.

He said if the party decided so, he was ready to take on CM Parkash Singh Badal in the forthcoming elections. He said the drug abuse, pushing the youth into addiction and capturing of the entire trade of the state by the Badal family would be issues to be highlighted by the Congress.
