Abohar, October 12

Teachers and principals of private schools here observed a black day on a call given by the National Independent Schools Alliance (NISA), the largest association of budget private schools in India, and Private Unaided Schools Management Association (PUSMA), here today.

Wearing black badges, they organised a protest march to flay the Central government for directing the managements to follow the dictates in letter and spirit. They said the government had indicated that teachers as well as principals would face criminal cases for mishaps now onwards. The managements would be asked to get police verification of their staff. Such dictatorial directions would not be accepted, the protesters warned.
