Protect shakhas: BJP

Jalandhar, October 18

A day after the killing of RSS leader Ravinder Gosain in Ludhiana, BJP leaders from the district today gave a memorandum to Deputy Commissioner Varinder Sharma, demanding security at RSS shakhas across the state.

Former minister Manoranjan Kalia, former Chief Parliamentary Secretary KD Bhandari, state BJP secretary Anil Sachar and former Mayor Sunil Jyoti today told the Deputy Commissioner that there were about 50 shakhas in the district which should get security. They also demanded a thorough investigation into the murder of RSS leaders in the past one-and-a-half years.

The BJP leaders met Police Commissioner Praveen Sinha and asked him to get the murder case of Brig Jagdish Gagneja (retd) re-investigated. — TNS
