Punjab declares holiday on Sept 12, 2017, to commemorate Saragarhi Day

CHANDIGARH: The Punjab government has declared September 12 (Tuesday) as a public holiday to commemorate the Saragarhi Day in memory of the historic battle of Saragarhi.

The Punjab government has declared September 12 (Tuesday) as a public holiday to commemorate the Saragarhi Day in memory of the historic battle of Saragarhi. A notification in this regard has been issued.

Revealing this here on Wednesday, an official spokesman said September 12 had been declared as a public holiday in all offices, boards and corporations, institutions and educational institute of the Punjab government under this notification.
