Kiratpur Sahib, July 27
The ashes of Rajmata Mohinder Kaur were immersed by her son Capt Amarinder Singh and grandson Raninder Singh at “asth ghat” of Gurdwara Patalpuri Sahib here today.
Earlier, the Chief Minister led the family in offering ardas. Rajmata Mohinder Kaur was cremated at the Shahi Samadhan on Tuesday, a day after she passed away in Patiala.
Capt Amarinder’s younger brother Malwinder Singh, Assembly Speaker Rana KP Singh, Cabinet ministers Brahm Mohindra, Rana Gurjeet Singh, Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa accompanied him.
In the morning, the family collected the Rajmata’s mortal remains. At the cremation ground in Patiala, Capt Amarinder was joined by Malwinder, Raninder and three grandsons.
