Shruti Vohra of DAV Public Senior Secondary School, Ropar, stood first in the Class 10 examination of Punjab School Education Board, the result of which was announced here on Monday.

Shruti secured 98.77 per cent marks.                       

The overall pass percentage of the state was 57. 5.

Amit Yadav of Sai Public Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, stood second by getting 98.62% per cent marks and Simmi Kumari third by securing 98.31% marks.

In the sports category, Amandeep Verma of BCM Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, got the first position by securing 99.08% marks. Jyoti Panwar of the same school stood second by securing 98.62% marks and Nancy (98.31%) of Playways Senior Secondary School of Patiala stood third.

Ludhiana (113 students) topped the list in the district-wise merit; Mohali had only two 2 students in the merit list.

Amritsar district recorded 83.12 pass percentage, second highest in the state.

The pass percentage of Muktsar district stood at 47.06. Only four students from the district were place in the merit list.

Gurleen Kaur of Mata Sundri Senior Secondary School, Attewali, topped the Fatehgarh Sahib district with 97.54 per cent marks. Ten students from the district found themselves in the merit list. The pass percentage of the district stood at 50.19. The district was placed at 12th position in the merit list.
