AMRITSAR: The Justice Ranjit Singh Commission of Inquiry, constituted to inquire into sacrilege cases, on Wednesday recorded the statements of SGPC employees who had lodged complaint with the police.

The Justice Ranjit Singh Commission of Inquiry, constituted to inquire into sacrilege cases, on Wednesday recorded the statements of SGPC employees who had lodged complaint with the police.

On January 23, 2017, Jatinder Chadha (36) was booked under Section 295-A of the IPC after he tore the pages of ‘gutka’ in the Golden Temple. On April 25, 2017, a middle-aged woman identified as Bano was booked for the alleged desecration of the gutka on the premises of the Golden Temple. — TNS
